SorlaDB

In-memory document database
for the browser and Node

Welcome to Our JavaScript Database Library!

Store plain JavaScript objects, query them with the MongoDB language you already know, and keep your interface in sync as the data changes, all in memory, in the browser or in Node. SorlaDB is the brainchild of our founder, #andmarruda, who envisioned a tool that works great on its own and also powers the next generation of Sysborg tools.

Install and play

npm install or one script tag. No server, no setup, no dependencies. Just install and enjoy! :D

Keep clean code

MongoDB queries and updates instead of hand-written filters, loops and reducers.

Open-Source

MIT licensed, 54 kB, TypeScript types included. Use it however you want.

What’s new in version 1.7

The latest releases made SorlaDB reactive, connected and a lot faster.

  • Live queries with watch(), plus bindings for React, Vue, Svelte and Angular.
  • Server sync: load 100 000+ rows in blocks over Server-Sent Events, or page and receive live changes over WebSocket.
  • bulkWrite with MongoDB results, and an _id index that finds documents without scanning.
  • Updates copy only what changed: 100 000 $set operations in about 180 ms.
  • Missing and null values sort last by default, with { nulls } to choose.
